About the Education Foundation

The Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1996, is dedicated to fostering excellence in education across various sectors such as high tech, biotech, healthcare, and finance. Massachusetts, renowned as a hub for innovation, relies significantly on the state’s ability to cultivate computing talent. Responding to this need, the foundation shifted its primary focus in 2013 to K-12 computing education.

Our vision is to ensure that every student in Massachusetts comprehends the principles of computer science and its real-world applications. While we don’t expect all students to become computer programmers, we firmly believe they should have access to the essential knowledge required to build technology and contribute to 21st-century innovation.
